WHY HEMP ?

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is an amazing compound derived from the hemp plant. This miracle isolate has no psychoactive effects, meaning it doesn't get you high, but it does have many calming and mood enhancing properties. It has also been shown to stop epileptic seizures, reduce pain and inflammation, and topically soothes a variety of skin ailments.

How does this amazing compound work?

The human body produces compounds similar to those in the cannabis plant, called endocannabinoids. These molecules bind to receptors that are most abundant within the central nervous system, but are also found in the skin, digestive tract, and reproductive organs. This network of receptors is called the endocannabinoid system and helps control everything from mood, cognition, movement, appetite, immune response, sleep, ovulation and sperm production. Phytocannabinoids, such as CBD, are so structurally similar to endocannabinoids that they bind to the same receptors. For this reason CBD can support the bodies ability to heal itself with no toxic or adverse side effects.

Why topical CBD?

CBD has been shown to be a powerful and potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory; the two most important factors for counteracting chronic skin and pain conditions. Most forms of CBD are available in an oral application, such as a tincture or oil. While systemic CBD is highly effective, topical application allows the patient to apply CBD directly to affected areas for more immediate relief.  Science is now beginning to reveal the amazing benefits of topical CBD, there have been many studies that show that topical CBD helps with a variety of chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. One recent study concluded that regular use of topical CBD helped to reverse nerve damage.
